Lagos Refinery to Commence Operation in 2018
Dangote Industries’ Operations Director for Petroleum Refining, George Nicolaides said in an interview at the Platts African Refining Summit in Cape Town, "that the oil refinery they are building in Nigeria is to commence operations between the close of 2017 and the early part of 2018".
The plant that will be constructed in the Lagos area will be able to process 500,000 barrels of crude a day. Engineers India Ltd was selected to do most of the detailed engineering work for the new plant, while the appointment of the construction contractors is being awaited.
